Museum Collection

Ncome Museum forms part of the Voortrekker/ Msunduzi Museum. Both museums have the same Council and Director, and displays are done in cooperation with the Museum in Pietermaritzburg. The Museum’s collection of traditional and cultural isiZulu items is also kept in Pietermaritzburg, where there is proper storage facilities.

The collection includes traditional outfits, beadwork and pottery. One of the most famous items is King Dingane’s elaborately-carved wooden chair, of which 2 replicas were made which are on display at both museums.
